Contractor Advisory Committee Reestablished

Contractor Advocacy ,

The National Steel Painting Contractors Association (NSPCA) is pleased to announce that the AMPP Board of Directors,at its June 2026 meeting, approved the reestablishment of the Contractors Advisory Committee—a significant milestone for the contractor community and an important step toward strengthening contractor representation within AMPP.

This achievement reflects months of dedication, persistence, and collaboration by QP contractors and industry leaders who remained committed to ensuring the contractor voice was heard. The approval is a testament to what can be accomplished when contractors work together toward a common goal.

The NSPCA would like to recognize Rick Matthews, NSPCA Director of Contractor Engagement, for his exceptional leadership in coordinating this effort. Through his tireless advocacy, persistence, and engagement with contractors and AMPP leadership, Rick played a pivotal role in moving this initiative forward and helping bring it to a successful conclusion.

The AMPP Board of Directors is now developing the framework that will guide the committee’s organization and future activities. The NSPCA looks forward to working with AMPP and the contractor community as this important committee begins its work.

Finally, we extend our sincere appreciation to every contractor who lent their time, support, and voice throughout this process. Your commitment and participation were essential to achieving this outcome. Together, we have taken an important step toward ensuring contractors continue to have a strong and meaningful voice within our industry.

Thank you for your dedication and support.
