NSPCA Expands Member Technical Assistance & Professional Support Services

Association Updates,

The National Steel Painting Contractors Association (NSPCA) is pleased to announce an expanded portfolio of Member Technical Assistance & Professional Support Services designed to help member contractors strengthen their operations, improve quality, prepare for accreditation, and meet the ever-changing demands of today’s industrial coatings industry.

As the industry continues to evolve—with increasing regulatory requirements, higher owner expectations, workforce challenges, and growing emphasis on quality management—NSPCA is expanding the practical resources available exclusively to its members.

The new program provides members with access to experienced technical guidance and educational resources in several key areas, including:

  • Quality Management & AMPP QP Support – Guidance for AMPP QP accreditation readiness, mock assessments, documentation reviews, and quality system improvement.
  • Technical & Project Support – Assistance interpreting industry standards, preparing quality documentation, and identifying best practices for project execution.
  • Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) – Educational guidance on OSHA, EPA, and state regulatory requirements, compliance resources, and safety program development.
  • Training & Workforce Development – Quality control, coating application, auditing, environmental compliance, and leadership training designed to strengthen the industry’s workforce.
  • Labor Relations & Professional Development – Educational resources addressing labor-management issues, prevailing wage requirements, workforce development, succession planning, and leadership growth.

Members will also benefit from the combined expertise of Mike Damiano and Alison Kaelin, who bring decades of experience in industrial coatings, quality management, environmental compliance, auditing, safety, and government contracting. Their extensive credentials and practical industry experience will enhance NSPCA’s ability to provide timely, experience-based guidance to member contractors.

“One of NSPCA’s primary goals is to help our members succeed,” said NSPCA Executive Director Joye Blanscett. “By expanding our technical assistance and professional support services, we’re providing members with practical resources that help improve quality, strengthen compliance programs, develop employees, and prepare companies for long-term success. Stronger contractors help build a stronger industry.”

These services are provided exclusively as a benefit of NSPCA membership and reflect the Association’s ongoing commitment to advancing industry best practices, promoting quality workmanship, supporting workforce development, and improving business conditions for steel painting contractors nationwide.

Additional information about Member Technical Assistance & Professional Support Services, including available resources and how to request assistance, will be available through the NSPCA office and on the Association’s website in the coming weeks.
